We’re celebrating 30 years of digital content with a big Marketplace sale
In 1986, Steve Potash laid the foundation for what would become OverDrive, the world’s leading provider of digital content for libraries and schools. From that moment thirty years ago, when Steve began developing interactive diskette and CD-ROM products and digitizing legal documents through present day where half a million titles are checked out each day through OverDrive, we’ve worked exclusively with digital content.
To celebrate “three decades of digital” we’ve worked with our publishing partners to create the OverDrive 30th Anniversary Sale offering 30,000 titles 30% off in Marketplace. These savings are our way of saying thank you to the thousands of libraries and countless librarians around the world who we’ve worked with over the years. You’re the reason we get to do what we love every single day: promote a world enlightened by digital reading.
In this sale you’ll find best sellers, adult, teen and kids fiction and nonfiction as well as audiobooks, streaming video and much more. We’ve created a Marketplace page for you to easily navigate through the collections and lists and we’ve provided you the ability to see all the titles on sale you currently have on hold and ones not currently in your collection.
We’re proud of the last thirty years of developing technology and forming relationships that have brought us to today but we’re even more excited about what the future of digital reading holds. We can’t say thank you enough for the tireless work your library staff has done in promoting the convenience of using OverDrive to your users but the least we can do is help you maximize your budget with this great sale. Here’s to the next thirty years of making sure readers always have access to the content they want and making sure it’s always through their library or school.
