#Infographic: The most popular eBooks and Audiobooks borrowed on OverDrive in 2016
In 2016, OverDrive saw record circulation numbers across the board as millions of readers from around the world connected with their libraries daily through OverDrive apps and websites. This surge in checkouts was the result of several factors.
The ease of use and increased speed of the new OverDrive experience made finding a great read simpler than ever. Second, our libraries have continued to use OverDrive’s automation and recommendation tools to give readers what they want, faster. Last, but certainly not least, is the fact that all of the most popular books in the world continue to be available on OverDrive for anytime, anywhere access. As they say, content is king.
To that end, we’ve created an infographic that shows the most frequently borrowed titles on OverDrive in 2016. At the beginning of each year, you can always expect to see familiar names like Grisham, Child, Evanovich, Baldacci and, of course, Rowling. However, there are are some surprises on this list as well including authors with recent debuts, Pulitzer Prize winners and titles from various genres.
