Celebrate the Chinese New Year with big savings on digital content from OverDrive
The Chinese New Year doesn’t officially happen until January 28, but we’re welcoming the Year of the Rooster for a full month by offering up to 50% off on thousands of Chinese title in OverDrive Marketplace. Starting today, we’re kicking off our celebration with huge savings, giveaways and a live webcast to help you utilize Chinese language content to reach new members of your community. The books you’ll find in this sale feature both translated and native Chinese titles including bestsellers, cultural and historical titles, travel guides, language learning, Chinese films and much more.
In addition to offering huge savings on this quality collection, we’re also offering several marketing incentives for your library. Any library that spends $750 on any Chinese content from now until February 16, will receive a curated Chinese language room on their Digital Collection site. We’ll also run a Facebook ad to promote your new content in your community.
Once you’ve added these wonderful titles, you’ll want to make sure you’re properly promoting it to reach its full potential. To aid your marketing efforts we’re hosting a special webcast on Thursday, February 2 at 2 PM (EST) titled “Expanding Your Reach: Connect with your Chinese Communities.” During the presentation we’ll share information on how to:
• Use advanced Marketplace searching and sorting techniques
• Interpret publishers’ offerings
• Purchase and curate with recommended lists
• Reach your Chinese communities through simple marketing and outreach efforts
This session would be a great fit for library staff members in charge of purchasing or budgeting decisions, and anyone in charge of special collections or community outreach events. Register today and then start shopping our Chinese New Year Sale to take full advantage of this exciting opportunity to expand the reach of your digital library even further.
