Curate your way to a $500 Content Credit
By: Christina Samek, OverDrive Marketing Specialist
Seeking all creative curators!
If you used the curate feature in OverDrive Marketplace, you’ve probably come up with a funny, intellectual, quippy and/or outright genius title for your collections a time or two. Or perhaps you’ve been waiting for such an occasion as a Curated Collection Naming Contest to unleash your creativity on your users. It’s time to let your imagination shine!
Now through June 30th we are hosting a contest for the best named Curated Collections in 5 categories: Adult, Kids, Teens, Seasonal, and Audio. Entrants can submit list names to OverDrive via contest@overdrive.com.
Winners will be determined by OverDrive users via our social media pages and emails. Voting will be announced and begin on June 30th and run through July 31st. Users will have the opportunity to pick their favorite list names and the names that receive the most votes will win!
And what do you win exactly? Credit to spend on growing those beautifully named collections! There will be a first and second place prize winner for each of the 5 categories, listed above. First place winners will receive a $500.00 content credit and second places winners will receive a $250.00 content credit. Official rules will apply.
We will announce winners at Digipalooza 2017. If you are unable to attend (we will miss you!), don’t worry we will notify you via email following the conference.
If you are in need of some inspiration, Team OverDrive had a little fun coming up with our own collection names:
Adult: The Dog Lives (pretty self-explanatory), Meowder (yep, cozy cat mysteries), I read a Latte (books that involve coffee in some way).
Kids: There’s a Dog in this One (we really like dogs), Parents Just Don’t Understand, Home Run Reads (for sports lovers!).
Teens: I will Survive (dystopia), Best in Brooding (Because is it really a YA romance if there is no brooding?).
Seasonal: This Book Sleighs (get it?), That’s Hot (summer reads), Leave the Light On, (Halloween horror reads).
Audio: Naughty Narrator (romance, hehe), Hey! I know them! (celebrity narrators), Stop, Collaborate & Listen (ensemble audio casts).
Curate away!
