“New Webcast! Marketing Your Digital Library to Millennials”
By Briana Johnson-Sims
If you’ve attended one of our marketing webcasts this year, you know a thing or two about connecting kids, teens, and older adults to your digital collection. (If not, check out our past webcasts here.) Now it’s time to talk about another audience you’ll want to keep an eye on – millennials!
Pssst! A Pew Research Center survey found that “millennials in America are more likely to have visited a public library in the past year than any other adult generation.” Yet, according to the same study, only 8% of millennials used a library app in the same period. Do we have your attention yet?
Join us September 19th from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Eastern for Marketing Your Digital Library to Millennials to learn how to bridge the gap between Generation Y and your digital collection. You know what your library has to offer; now let’s explore what millennials need, why you want to talk to them, and where you can find them.
There are a couple additional things you should know to get the most out of our new marketing webcast: who is Libby and how does Marketplace work? If you haven’t met Libby, we recommend joining us for our Getting Started with OverDrive webcast on September 11th at 2:00 P.M Eastern. We’ll show you why all your users will love our one-tap reading app.
It’s also a good idea to learn how to purchase content and evaluate your collection’s usage. The best way to do that is in Marketplace, so join us for an Introduction to Marketplace on September 12th at 2:00 P.M. Eastern. Register for all our current and future webcasts on the Resource Center. See you there!
