Read an Ebook Day is here!
Featured Post - Library Blog, Library
Long before we were accessing groceries or a ride through an app on our phone, readers have been discovering the joy of ebooks on mobile devices. This is why for the past 10 years, readers from across the world have come together every September 18 to celebrate Read an Ebook Day.
Ebooks are more than just a modern way to read – they offer accessibility, portability, and a world of wonder one tap away. This is why every September 18 we celebrate and highlight the importance of digital reading.
Ways your library can participate:
- Promote Read an Ebook Day to your community using any of the free marketing kits we have available on the Resource Center.
- Encourage users to share what they are reading with the hashtag #ebooklove.
- Remind users to visit the Read an Ebook Day website to find their next great read!
- Show your love for Libby with some swag from the OverDrive shop. All profits from The OverDrive Shop will be donated to The American Library Association’s Office of Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services.
- Download the Check Out Your Library marketing kits from the Resource Center to share all the cool things available at your library, not just ebooks!
