Star Power at Digipalooza 2025: Julia Whelan & Jason Reynolds Headline the Keynote Stage

We’re beyond excited to announce that Julia Whelan, award-winning audiobook narrator, bestselling author, and one of the most recognizable voices in the industry, will be taking the main stage at Digipalooza 2025 as a keynote speaker on Thursday, August 14, from 9:30–10:15 AM. 

A true force in the audiobook world, Julia has narrated more than 600 titles, earning a reputation for her exceptional range, emotional nuance, and ability to bring stories vividly to life. She’s lent her voice to some of the most beloved contemporary novels, including Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah, as well as fan favorites by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Nora Roberts, and many more. Her performances have earned her numerous accolades, including Audie Awards and recognition from the American Library Association. 

But Julia’s talents go far beyond the recording booth. She’s also a gifted writer whose novels have captivated readers with the same emotional intelligence and wit that define her narration. Her debut novel, My Oxford Year, was a breakout success, and her second book, Thank You for Listening, draws directly from her experiences as a narrator, offering a heartfelt and humorous look at love, grief, and the audiobook industry itself. This rare blend of voice talent and storytelling expertise gives Julia a unique vantage point on the world of books and media. 

At Digipalooza, Julia’s keynote will be a must-attend session filled with insight, inspiration, and a behind-the-scenes peek into the world of audiobooks. From the art of narration to the evolving role of audio in libraries and publishing. Her keynote promises to be engaging, thoughtful, and full of heart. 

She’ll be joined in the keynote lineup by Jason Reynolds, bestselling author and former National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Known for powerful titles like Stamped, Ghost, and Look Both Ways, Jason’s work explores themes of identity, justice, and empathy, resonating with readers of all ages. His keynote will take place on Wednesday, August 13, from 1:00–2:00 PM, and will be another highlight of the conference.
