Steve Potash
Founder & Chairman
Steve Potash is Founder & Chairman of OverDrive and served as CEO from 1986-2026. His areas of focus as Chairman include advocacy on behalf of our libraries, schools and public institutions as well as literacy initiatives including leadership of the OverDrive Foundation. He also serves as an industry thought leader and a key advisor for OverDrive's strategic initiatives.A true pioneer in the digital content and distribution industry, Steve was among the first to develop useful applications for digital books in the 1980s. He began his career offering innovative floppy diskette, CD-ROM and print-to-digital conversion services, and introduced early versions of digital books to the law, accounting and healthcare industries. In 2000, Steve launched OverDrive’s flagship digital content distribution hub, OverDrive Marketplace, now one of the largest B2B catalogs in the world for institutional buyers of ebooks and other digital media in over 100 languages. Many of the world’s leading publishing houses rely on OverDrive to sell their premium content to a global network of more than 43,000 libraries and schools in 75 countries. Steve has been recognized by the industry with a variety of awards. In 2016, he was honored by the UJA-Federation of New York Publishing Division, and in 2011 he received the first Ambassador Award from the publishing industry at BookExpo America. In 2017, Steve also was honored as a Distinguished Alumni Award recipient from Cleveland State University.
A graduate of The Ohio State University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Steve was a founding member of the Open eBook Forum (renamed International Digital Publishing Forum) and a contributing author for the industry standard ebook format EPUB specification. In addition, through his collaboration with federal and state agencies, Steve has worked extensively for improved digital media accessibility for the visually impaired.
Marc DeBevoise
Chief Executive Officer
Marc DeBevoise joined OverDrive in 2026 and is our Chief Executive Officer. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors. As a recognized leader in digital media and streaming technology, Marc brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling global content and technology platforms.Prior to joining OverDrive, Marc served as CEO and Board Director of Brightcove and previously held senior leadership roles at Paramount and it's predicessors, including Chief Digital Officer of Paramount Global and CEO & President of CBS Interactive, where he helped lead the company's direct-to-consumer streaming strategy and the launches of Paramount+, CBSN, and CBS Sports HQ. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Starz and NBCUniversal and began his career in Technology, Media & Telecommunications investment banking groups at JPMorgan.
Marc serves as a board member for The Door, a nonprofit supporting 10,000+ at-risk youth in New York City and is an Adjunct Professor of Digital Strategy at NYU's Stern School of Business. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Tufts University.
Greg Farmer
Chief Financial Officer
Greg Farmer joined OverDrive in 2013 and is the company’s Chief Financial Officer. He also serves on the company’s Board of Directors. As CFO, Greg leads OverDrive’s Finance and Accounting teams, and works with other members of the Executive Team to develop and execute the company’s strategic objectives and overall business plan.Prior to joining OverDrive, he was Vice President and Corporate Controller at Hilite International, a global designer and manufacturer of highly engineered powertrain components for the automotive market. Greg also served as an Audit Manager at a large public accounting firm. He is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University.
Lori Franklin
Chief Operating Officer
Lori Franklin joined OverDrive in 2002 and is currently responsible for operational functions including Human Resource Services, Talent Management, Facilities, Partner Services, Business Operations & Analytics, and Account Management, where she oversees the company’s global sales organization serving North American Public Libraries, North American Schools, and Global Libraries & Education.Prior to joining OverDrive, Lori held financial and consulting positions with Ernst & Young and franchise companies that own Applebee’s and Chili’s Bar & Grill restaurants. She is a CPA and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace University. Lori was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business as one of its Women of Note in 2012, by Smart Business Cleveland Magazine as one of its Smart 50 Honoree’s in 2018 and is a board member of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation Board.
Jeff Sterling
Chief Technology Officer
Since 1994, Jeff has been leading the development and architecture of OverDrive’s technology, including customer-facing applications, back-end services and everything in between. Jeff graduated from Ohio Northern University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Jen Leitman
Chief Marketing Officer
Jen Leitman joined OverDrive as CMO in 2023. With a strong background of creative leadership and brand building, Jen is responsible for unifying marketing efforts across the company and raising brand awareness and engagement for the company’s industry-leading platforms and apps.Prior to OverDrive, Jen spent more than ten years leading creative and marketing teams in the media industry at HGTV and Great American Country. While at The Family Coppola global lifestyle company, Leitman led marketing teams across a portfolio of food, wine, spirits and resorts, developing new brand campaigns and industry partnerships. An avid reader and lifelong learner, Leitman earned her BA in Communications from the University of Missouri–Columbia, and an MBA from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville.
Erica Lazzaro
Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Erica Lazzaro joined OverDrive in 2003 and is the company’s Executive Vice President, and General Counsel. She oversees the Legal team. In her role, she manages the enterprise's global legal, regulatory, governance, and privacy policies, as well as manages OverDrive's large portfolio of intellectual property.Erica received a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Miami University (OH) and graduated cum laude with a juris doctor degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio and in front of the United States Supreme Court. She lives in Moreland Hills, Ohio, with her husband, son and daughter.
Ryan Fish
Executive Vice President, Product Management & UI/UX
Ryan joined OverDrive in early 2000. Ryan currently serves as OverDrive’s Executive Vice President of Product. Ryan oversees the product management and UX teams responsible for all product development across of OverDrive’s platforms.Ryan and his teams strive to continuously improve upon OverDrive’s world-class suite of products to solve problems for our institutional customers, suppliers, and delight our mutual end-users. In the early days, Ryan architected, coded, and led the backend engineering teams to build the platform that is now OverDrive Marketplace. Ryan also worked with OCLC to develop the early MARC standards for digital content. Before his current role, Ryan continued to lead engineering and content operations teams to create the best-in-class shopping, reporting, and content ingestion platforms for our institutional customers and suppliers.
Ryan studied English literature, computer information systems, and business administration at Kent State University where he was a junior inductee into Phi Beta Kappa.
Jason Tyrrell
Executive Vice President, Content
Jason Tyrrell is the Executive Vice President, Content at OverDrive, where he leads the Content Group, overseeing the integration of eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and video for libraries, schools, and institutions globally. Jason joined OverDrive as the General Manager of Kanopy, the video streaming service acquired by OverDrive in 2021. During his time at Kanopy, he expanded the platform’s content offerings, growing partnerships with major studios and independent distributors and increasing the library to over 30,000 titles.With over 17 years of experience in the global entertainment industry, Jason has held leadership roles in business development, content licensing, and go-to-market strategy, at distribution companies, content aggregators, and streaming platforms. He has worked with major studios and independent distributors to license and distribute content across 80+ countries in 120+ languages.
Jason is an active participant in panels and industry conversations at festivals such as Berlin, SXSW and TIFF, and is a board member of Video Trust, a non-profit focused on expanding film access in education. He holds B.A. degrees in English and Psychology from Rutgers University and lives in Joshua Tree, California with his family.
