Microsoft, Adobe, Palm, Mobipocket Square Off At Seybold Seminars New York

 

NEW YORK – February 4, 2002 – Which eBook format will emerge as the leader as technologies continue to evolve? An all-star panel of top representatives from the eBook divisions of Microsoft, Adobe, Palm Digital Media, and Mobipocket will face off at the upcoming Seybold Seminars in New York. The event, “Ten Minutes with an eBook Vendor”, will be held on Thursday, February 21 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.  Steve Potash, President, Open eBook Forum, (www.openebook.com) and CEO of OverDrive, Inc., (www.overdrive.com) will chair the event that will focus on raising awareness about the latest trends in the eBook industry.

Seybold Seminars New York is featuring this educational session as part of their Enterprise Publishing Conference, Book Publishing Track, headed by Paul Hilts, Media Industry Analyst.  Highlights of “Ten Minutes with an eBook Vendor” include:

  • An update on Microsoft Reader 2.0 and its newest features.
  • New licensing agreements for Adobe Content Server and DRM services.

Each presenter will have ten minutes to inform the audience about their company’s current and future role in the eBook industry.  There will be an extended question and answer session after all the presentations have been completed.
