OverDrive to Showcase Innovative Download Media Solutions at National Library Conference in Washington, D.C.
New best-selling digital titles, growing music, games collections to be unveiled
Washington, D.C. – June 21, 2007 – OverDrive®, the market leader in download audio books for libraries, will demonstrate their growing collection of this popular format as well as its expanding collection of other formats including digital music and interactive games in booth #617 at the American Library Association’s Annual Conference June 23-26, 2007 in Washington, D.C.
OverDrive team members will showcase best-selling titles that maximize circulation from Harper Collins, Brilliance, Blackstone, Highbridge, Phoenix, Nettwerk Music Group, Riverdeep and other top publishers, including best selling books (“Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell, “The Overlook” by Michael Connelly), chart-topping music (Barenaked Ladies, Delerium) and educational software (“Reader Rabbit,” “Kid Pix”). These and the 100,000 other available OverDrive digital titles include a variety of topics that appeal to patrons of all ages.
Also exhibited will be OverDrive’s download lending system, which is designed to be as user-friendly as possible to make titles even more appealing to patrons. For example, all media formats can be browsed and downloaded on a single system. Other OverDrive demonstrations will examine new library sharing tools and innovative ways to improve circulation – with a free Creative MP3 player giveaway every 30 minutes! Presentations include:
