New York Times bestselling “chick lit” author Jane Green to keynote OverDrive’s Digipalooza conference
CLEVELAND — June 22, 2015— OverDrive, the leading eBook and audiobook platform for libraries and schools, announced 16-time New York Times bestselling author Jane Green as the keynote speaker at Digipalooza 2015. Together with Helen Fielding and Candace Bushnell, Green helped establish the genre known as “chick lit” and is well known for radio and television in the United States and her native United Kingdom. Green’s latest novel, Summer Secrets, will be released by St. Martin’s Press (an imprint of Macmillan) on June 23. Digipalooza, OverDrive’s 5th international user group conference for partner libraries and schools, will take place August 5-7, 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jane Green is published in over 25 languages and has more than 10 million books in print worldwide. Her first book, Straight Talking, launched her career in women’s fiction and the “chick lit” billion-dollar genre that took readers by storm. Her overnight success was followed with more bestselling novels about the true-life dilemmas of women, from marriage (The Other Woman) to motherhood (Babyville) to midlife crises (Second Chance).
A formal journalist in the UK, Green has had her own show on BBC Radio London and is a regular contributor on radio and TV – appearing on television shows including Good Morning America and The Today Show. Jane also joined the ABC News as a live correspondent covering Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton. Together with writing books and blogs, Green contributes to various publications both online and print, including anthologies and novellas as well as features for The Huffington Post, The Sunday Times, Cosmopolitan and Self.
