Drop Everything and Read to celebrate Canadian National School Library Day
By Sheila Henline, a librarian and Collection Development Analyst with OverDrive
OverDrive is excited to be celebrating Canadian Literature with the Canadian Library Association (CLA). They have designated the fourth Monday in October as National School Library Day. This day is an opportunity to demonstrate appreciation for the important role of school libraries and the school library staff on the academic achievement and growth of students in Canada.
Many are celebrating this day by participating in the Drop Everything and Read Challenge (D.E.A.R.).
OverDrive has numerous reading lists for this event. Be sure to add these great lists to your collection so your users can Drop Everything and Read!
