Cityread London’s Ten Days now available as an eBook from public libraries
Month-long program allows readers to borrow the eBook via OverDrive app
LONDON — March 31, 2016 – OverDrive, the industry-leading eBook and audiobook platform for libraries and schools, has teamed up with Cityread London for the first time to get this year’s featured book, Ten Days by Gillian Slovo, in eBook format for local public library authorities. Cityread London is an annual celebration of literature that aims to bring reading to life for the whole capital. Each April, Cityread asks London’s citizens, workers and visitors to pick up a book – the same book – and read it together.
Readers across London can borrow the Ten Days eBook for free, from their local library. Published by Canongate, Ten Days is about what happens when politics, policing and the hard realities of living in London collide. There will be no waitlists for this popular digital book. Ten Days can be read on most computers and mobile devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets, and Chromebook™ via the OverDrive app. The eBook can also be accessed instantly in any web browser using OverDrive Read, which requires no software or downloads. To get started reading, all that is needed is a valid library card from one of the participating local library authorities.
