Hear James Patterson discuss his new BookShots titles and the importance of libraries on our Professional Book Nerds podcast
By: Adam Sockel, OverDrive Social Media Specialist
Last week I had the opportunity to travel to New York City to interview James Patterson as a part of his promotion for his new BookShots line of titles. Each book is a fast paced mystery or thriller designed to make readers say “give me another book.” The BookShots titles are all 150 pages or less, enabling users to discover James Patterson’s storytelling in an easy, approachable way. As Mr. Patterson put it, “I’ve cut all the fat out and left in only the exciting stuff.”
In the interview you’ll hear Patterson discuss his writing process, why libraries are so important to our civilization and dispels the notion that he doesn’t write his own books. He also shares his passion for children’s books in relation to his JIMMY imprint.
Libraries can find the new BookShots in Marketplace both for sale and preorder. Be sure to subscribe to the Professional Book Nerds in iTunes or any app you listen to podcasts for great book recommendationsfrom our staff librarians as well as interviews with bestselling authors including Brad Meltzer, Matthew Quick, Taya Kyle and many others.
