In July we announced that more than 50 digital library collections from around the world were on pace to reach more than one million digital checkouts on their OverDrive-powered website. We’re under three months until we say goodbye to 2016 and those 50 are still on track to hit that mark.

These statistics echo the overall growth of digital library usage as libraries, schools and corporations around the world are seeing record circulation numbers with their OverDrive services. In 2015, we saw, a then record, 33 different library systems hit the one million number and numbers for 2016 are on track to far out pace those previous stats.
