OverDrive Training Resources to wrap up 2016 and start 2017 off right
By: Briana Johnson-Sims, OverDrive Training Specialist
This December, OverDrive’s Training Team helped you Wrap Up the Year with the New OverDrive, but in case you missed it, here are all the tools you need to start 2017 off right.
For library partners who were unable to attend our webcast series on the new OverDrive, never fear! We’ve archived all three sessions under the Staff Training section of the Resource Center under Past Webcasts. Here you can watch recordings on Building Your Digital Collection, Enhancing Your Digital Collection, and Helping Users Enjoy Your Digital Collection. Be sure to download the PDFs, too.
Not only do we archive all of our major webcasts on the Resource Center, we also provide recorded training modules on a number of topics. If our webcasts haven’t covered a topic you’re interested in, there’s a chance we have a recorded module, also available under Staff Training. Visit the User Experience and OverDrive Marketplace tabs to watch short trainings on a variety of topics such as Managing Holds, Curating Collections, and OverDrive Read & Listen. We’re in the process of updating some of our most popular recordings now, so check the added date to know when changes have been made.
In 2017, we will continue to provide OverDrive training resources and host live webcasts each month so you can stay up to date on Marketplace Basics and The OverDrive User Experience. These are held on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of each month respectively at 11 am Eastern Time. Register on the Resource Center to get further meeting details and an email with the recording and presentation PDF.
And for those of you interested in training your own patrons on the new OverDrive, be sure to find our User Training Template under the Marketing & Outreach section of the Resource Center. Customize this PowerPoint and demo checklist to your needs to introduce patrons to the latest OverDrive platform.
As always, you can email training@overdrive.com with any OverDrive training resources feedback or questions. We’d love to hear what you’re interested in learning more about so that we can provide the support you need.
