Learn how to curate your digital library!
By: Briana Johnson-Sims, Training Specialist
It’s hard to talk about a successful digital library without using the word “curate.” Why? Because when you curate digital collections, you ultimately help patrons find new titles to enjoy and boost circulation numbers. As an added bonus, it’s super fun to do. We invite you to learn how to curate the best books for your community during our upcoming webcast, Curating Collections for Your Digital Library, this March 21st at 2 PM Eastern Time.
OverDrive Marketplace makes it quick and easy to customize collections for your digital library. You can create curated collections like Fire and Fury Read-Alikes, as well as automated collections, like a Spanish eBooks list. All you need to get started is an idea.
What do your patrons need to find? Vegan cookbooks? The audiobooks you just added? Something to laugh about? The possibilities are endless! And we’ve recently updated your digital library’s website to allow even more curated collections, so there’s truly no limit to what you can do.
Curation is a great step toward engaging patrons, but don’t forget the basics. If you haven’t already, join us for Getting Started with OverDrive and Introduction to Marketplace this March 13th and 14th, respectively. You can register for all our upcoming live webcasts on the Resource Center under Staff Training. We hope to see you there!
