Libby Hits the Road with Tyler Childers: Music, Books, and Libraries Unite
What happens when a currently touring, Grammy-nominated artist teams up with the library app readers love? Something pretty special.
We’re thrilled to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership between Libby and Tyler Childers, launching the Hickman Holler Reading Club—a new initiative that brings together music, storytelling, and the power of public libraries. Tyler isn’t just a phenomenal artist—he’s a passionate reader and longtime library supporter. He approached OverDrive with a vision: to share the books that have shaped him with fans across the country. And we couldn’t say yes fast enough. The Hickman Holler Reading Club kicked off on September 18, just as Tyler hit the road on his “Tyler Childers: On the Road Tour.” The first book pick? A fitting one: On the Road by Jack Kerouac.
As part of this collaboration:
- Libby is featured on tour in the REVERB Activation Village, where fans can explore their local library’s resources, sign up for a card, and even enter to win a copy of On the Road by Jack Kerouac, signed by Tyler.
- Local libraries along the tour route are joining in with curated book displays and Featured Title campaigns. If you are interested in running a Featured Title campaign to promote the Hickman Holler Reading Club, please reach out to your account manager!
- Tyler’s team and ours are spreading the word across social, email, blogs, and press, amplifying the message that libraries are for everyone, everywhere.
