Libby Expands Global Reach with PocketBook Integration
PocketBook x Libby brings leading library reading app to PocketBook e-reader users

CLEVELAND – November 4, 2025 – Today OverDrive announced a new integration between Libby, the library reading app, and PocketBook, a global leader in e-reading innovation. This partnership will make it easier than ever for readers to enjoy ebooks and audiobooks borrowed from their local libraries directly on PocketBook devices.
PocketBook users will now be able to log in with their library card, borrow titles through the PocketBook x Libby app, and seamlessly read or listen on their e-reader. Titles can also be sampled before borrowing. Ebooks can be downloaded for offline reading within the borrowing period. Other formats, including audiobooks, are streamed or accessed through the browser.
“Partnering with PocketBook allows us to expand access to high-quality library content in a new and innovative way,” said Claudia Weissman, Vice President of Global Libraries & Education at OverDrive. “With Libby powering this experience, readers can enjoy seamless access to their library’s collection on PocketBook’s premium devices.”
“Through our collaboration with OverDrive, PocketBook strengthens its role as a trusted partner for public libraries in digital lending,” said Enrico Mueller, Managing Director of PocketBook Readers GmbH. “This new experience, powered by Libby, reflects our values of openness, compatibility, and user-centric design.”

The PocketBook x Libby app is now available on the PocketBook Era Color e-reader. Availability will expand soon to the entire line of PocketBook e-readers and e-notes. Within the app, users can add and manage holds, and add multiple library cards, allowing them to access all their libraries’ Libby collections.
This integration underscores OverDrive’s commitment to supporting libraries and readers worldwide by offering high-quality, accessible digital content. To learn more about Libby, visit www.overdrive.com/apps/libby.
