Partnership brings NASA+ content to Kanopy streaming platform and ebook and audiobook content to Libby and Sora reading apps

CLEVELAND, OH – March 30, 2026 – Kanopy, the leading platform for libraries and educational institutions, announced today an expanded collection of space exploration content across its platform.

Through a collaboration with NASA, Kanopy is bringing users access to NASA+, NASA’s official home for documentaries, educational series, and exclusive content, free through the All Access NASA+ collection.

As part of this partnership, Kanopy is thrilled to offer streaming access to NASA+’s new episodic series,  Moonbound, which documents the Artemis II test flight, the next step in NASA’s ambitious plans to return humans to the Moon. The series takes viewers behind the scenes of the mission, from preparation to crew insights, with two episodes already available on Kanopy.

“The National Aeronautics and Space Act calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience,” said Rebecca Sirmons, General Manager and Head of NASA+. “Our partnership with Kanopy enables us to educate, inspire, and reach the next generation of explorers.”

Looking ahead, NASA is gearing up for the Artemis II launch no earlier than April 1, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to return to the Moon and prepare to send American astronauts to Mars. As NASA pushes forward into this new era of space exploration, Kanopy continues to provide an easy way for the public to engage with the latest developments and stories from the space agency.

“NASA’s mission to push the boundaries of what’s possible in air and space is ambitious,” said Elaine Ho, associate administrator of the Office of STEM Engagement at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “Fulfilling that mission requires a highly skilled STEM workforce. Our partnerships with companies like Kanopy help us reach future innovators early, spark their curiosity, and inspire them to join us someday in advancing discoveries that benefit humanity.”

The All Access NASA+ collection is a treasure trove of educational and thrilling content that covers everything from the history of space exploration to cutting-edge advancements in technology and space missions. The collection is an invaluable resource that is completely free for libraries. In addition to streaming content on Kanopy, NASA ebook and audiobook content can be accessed via Libby, the library reading app, and Sora, the student reading app.

“We are incredibly excited to offer this content to our users through our partnership with NASA,” said Jason Tyrrell, EVP Content at OverDrive, the company behind Kanopy, Libby, and Sora. “As we look forward to the Artemis II mission, this partnership underscores our commitment to bringing high-quality educational and inspiring content to digital library users everywhere.”
