Expanding access to knowledge with NYPL’s Books for All initiative
Books for All is NYPL’s flagship effort for 2024 aimed at breaking down barriers for readers of all ages and backgrounds in New York. This initiative also provides opportunities for communities and libraries across the country to get involved in protecting the freedom to read.
OverDrive is proud to support NYPL and the Books for All initiative with special purchasing options on selected titles during a featured period for public libraries. These options allow libraries to provide on-demand access to these titles to their communities during periods of high demand.
Start reading now: Flamer by Mike Curato
The first selected title is Flamer by Mike Curato. It’s the summer between middle school and high school, and Aiden Navarro is away at camp. Everyone’s going through changes―but for Aiden, the stakes feel higher. As he navigates friendships, deals with bullies, and spends time with Elias (a boy he can’t stop thinking about), he finds himself on a path of self-discovery and acceptance.
Between now and November 30, 2024, take advantage of special Cost Per Circ (CPC) pricing on Flamer by Mike Curato. Visit OverDrive Marketplace to add to your digital library today.
After purchasing, host your own book club with the free discussion guide available here and encourage your patrons to register for a live conversation with bestselling author Mike Curato on Thursday, November 21. Register here.
