The best ways to contact the OverDrive support team
Over the last few years, OverDrive has gone to great lengths to improve the quality of our help and support resources. From redesigning the Help pages, to improving the quality of the information in the articles, to greatly improving the search functionality, a lot of hard work has been done to deliver a better help and support experience for your patrons or students.
To access OverDrive’s Help, your patrons or students can simply click the “?” button at their library or school’s OverDrive-powered page, and select “OverDrive Help.” The much improved Help pages were redesigned to make finding answers easier. By adding a better search, users now have a way to find the info they need, and quickly. Whether it’s by typing in a question or selecting information from menus to drill down to specific answers, they should be able to find what they need.
If users can’t get what they need from OverDrive’s help pages, then they can always go to the “Contacting your library for support” page. You can get to it from the “Find library support” button that’s found on each article page of Help. You can also get to it from the “Support” link in the footer of OverDrive Help. From there, users can contact support staff who should be able to answer their questions.
If they’re using the OverDrive app, they can get to it from Home menu > Help > Having trouble? From there, they can select the “contact your library” link to bring up the form. The options provided include the Front Line Tech Support form, an email address, or a website link.
If your users are not sure which library to contact, they may be interested in our newest way to find support: http://support.overdrive.com/find. From here, users can search for their local library or school and get support.
There are many excellent ways to get in touch with support staff able to assist with OverDrive products, and an extensive knowledge base to help users find solutions to common issues. OverDrive continually strives to improve and expand upon the solutions, Help articles, and support delivered to better serve all of OverDrive’s users!

Hello HELP:
I have problems synchronizing 2 devices I get to man. My acc but I don’t get the “pront”my lic is very bad I try to use both my iPhone and Android? ??
Surely there must be an easier way to renew an expired title. I would like to renew an expired title directly from my bookshelf page instead of having to “select a new title”, then search, then type the expired title. Is there a way to renew expired titles? Thank you for your attention of this matter.
When Overdrive says there is no room on my iPod to add books, and My iPod says there are 29.9 GB available out of 32 GB, there is something wrong. I find nothing in your help pages. My library will contact YOU to ask how I should fix the issue. I’d like to have the solution BEFORE the books I have downloaded expire. I can’t imagine that this is a problem no one else has ever faced nor one that you have not resolved. Can you point me to the solution? Please?
Is the content available dependant on which public library a person is a member of?
There are a few series I read that are incomplete in what I have to chose from, and I know that they exist in audio format because they are available for purchase at Audible.com.
Would I have more choices if I belonged to a bigger library?
Thanks,
Neill
Yes, each library selects their own content. If there are things missing you’d like to read be sure to reach out to them 🙂
Who do I contact to inquire why Overdrive has essentially stopped carrying Kindle format books? My library had NOT been informed of this by Overdrive.
So far Overdrive has added 3249 epub books in February, but only 78 in Kindle format. The missing Kindle books ARE available for purchase in Kindle format on Amazon, so it is not a case of the format not being available.
1-1-2015 to 2-24-2015 the numbers are 10,912 epub books added, but only 304 Kindle format — with the missing books available in Kindle format for purchase on Amazon.
Who can tell us what is going on?
Hi Charlie,
We are aware of the issue and are working with Amazon on its resolution. Our catalog is updated with new titles and formats more than once per day. As the Kindle format for a title becomes available, the Kindle format is automatically added to a library’s collection.
What if you have an app specific question? I have looked all over the site and contacted my library to no avail. I know there is a way to check out history of those things I have checked out on overdrive, but I cannot find the setting that would allow that. Where is it???? Who do I contact to get this answer?
Hi Beth- If you open your app in the left hand navigation there is a history button that shows your checkouts. Thanks!
I would like to see more books from past authors such as James Michner, Leon Uris, Irving Wallace, etc. Thank you.
