Canadian Libraries Find the Answers through Tea Leaves and Country-wide Digital Book Club
Library patrons can read and discuss “Steeped In Love” ebook for free
TORONTO – August 15, 2019 – Nearly 2,000 Canadian libraries and thousands of readers across the country are participating in the latest Together We Read: Canada digital book club selection. From August 15-29, library patrons can enjoy and discuss Canadian author Julie Evelyn Joyce’s award-winning romance Steeped In Love ebook for free with no waitlists or holds. Readers can access the ebook by visiting their local participating library’s website, accessing the public library on their Kobo® device, or by downloading the Libby app on phones or tablets. Readers can then participate in an online discussion.
The Together We Read: Canada digital book club connects readers through Canadian public libraries with the same ebook at the same time. It is a free program that runs for two weeks and only requires a valid library card to get started. This program is facilitated by Rakuten OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for ebooks, audiobooks and magazines and creator of the award-winning Libby app.
“Steeped in Love is a story about finding one’s place in life,” said author Julie Evelyn Joyce, who now makes her home in Ottawa. “About being unafraid of the unknown. Letting go. Taking chances. Suspending disbelief. Following your heart. And finding love where, and when, you least expect it.”
Recently named a 2019 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize winner, Steeped In Love tells the story of Addie Mitchell, a pie-on-the-fly entrepreneur who’s finally ready to settle down in the big, empty house her late great-aunt Edna left to her. Frustrated with her lack of success in romance, Addie turns to another gift her great-aunt passed on to her—the art of reading tea leaves—to aid her in her search for the ideal mate. Meanwhile, Ethan Holtz is having a hard time sinking his teeth into his next project, but he finds Addie fascinating. He can’t help but eavesdrop on her dates in the local coffee shop and soon falls fast and hard for the pixie-haired pie-pusher. She thinks they’re all wrong for each other, but Ethan teams up with the tea leaves to prove they’re so right.
Steeped In Love is published by the author through Kobo Writing Life and during Together We Read can be borrowed from participating libraries in Canada. The ebook can be read without waitlists or holds on major computers and devices, including Kobo eReaders and in the award-winning Libby app on iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets and Chromebook™. The title will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, and there are no late fees.
