Technically speaking, the first day of summer isn’t until the second-half of June, but with the sun shining and warmer weather I’m officially in summer mode. For me, that mostly means loading up Libby with books. Luckily, our Resource Center has been refreshed with marketing kits and social media graphics you can use to promote your digital collection to your patrons all summer long.

June Social Media Must Haves 

This year, celebrate freedom with our Juneteenth social media graphic. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it couldn’t fully be implemented until June 19, 1865. Encourage your community to celebrate this historic day of freedom and empowerment by promoting Black voices and stories in your collection.

In June, join us in honoring the vibrant and diverse voices of the LGBTQ+ community. Our Pride Month graphic can be used to amplify LGBTQ+ voices in your collection and share stories that inspire, educate, and uplift.

Our May stop on the World Literary Tour is Buenos Aires! Argentina’s robust, cosmopolitan capital has long been considered an intellectual and literary capital of Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world. From the earliest poetry from the 1550s to the existentialist prose of the 1950s, the literature of Bueno Aires has shaped the city’s development as much as the city’s development has shaped her literature.
