School is officially in session, and we’re hoping your students can come together and put on their thinking caps for Sora’s Mascot Election.

We need your support! We’re looking for classrooms to let their imaginations run wild and collaborate on a name that will capture the essence of our Sora Mascot.

Here’s how it’ll work:

1. 📢 Get the word out to your teachers:

Encourage your teachers to get their homerooms involved in this exciting Sora-themed election. (This flyer can help you spread the word!)

2. 💭 Start brainstorming:

Begin thinking of names and getting favorites locked in before submissions open on Sept. 1.

3. 💻 Submit your mascot name ideas:

Once the classroom agrees on a name, the teacher will submit it for consideration (submissions run Sept. 1 – Sept. 30).

4. 💬 Five finalists will be selected:

Submissions close on Sept. 30. After that, our internal team will review all entries and select the top five names.

5. 🗳️ Public voting:

On Oct. 15, the five finalists will be revealed on meet.soraapp.com and the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite mascot name. Voting will close Oct. 31.

6. 🏆 And the winner is…:

We’ll announce the winning name on Nov. 1 on our social media channels and website – so don’t forget to follow us (@sorareadingapp) and subscribe to our blog!

The winning classroom will receive…

  • 🍕 Classroom pizza party: The winning homeroom will get to celebrate with a pizza party – our treat!
  • 📱 Social media recognition: Your school and classroom will be recognized for coming up with the winning name on our official Sora social media channels.
  • 👕 Sora t-shirts: Our winners will also get to rock some awesome Sora t-shirts.
  • 🏆 Custom plaque: The winning class will receive a custom Sora plaque with the winning name on the award.
