Entries now open for Sora’s Mascot Election!
What’s in a name?
Quite a lot, actually! So it’s no surprise that a lot often goes into CHOOSING a name – which is why we need help from you and your classrooms to pick the name for our Sora mascot.
Contest entries are now open, so if you’ve gotten a head start on brainstorming, you can now officially get those submissions in!
Here are some contest details to keep in mind:
- Get the word out to your teachers: Encourage your colleagues to get their homerooms involved. (This flyer can help you spread the word!) Remember – just one entry per classroom!
- Submit your mascot name ideas: Once your classroom agrees on a name, submit it for consideration anytime between now and Sept. 30.
- Five finalists will be selected: Submissions close on Sept. 30. After that, our team will review all entries and choose the top five entries.
- Public voting: On Oct. 15, five finalists will be revealed on meet.soraapp.com. Then, the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite mascot name. Voting will close Oct. 31.
- And the winner is…: We’ll announce the winning name on Nov. 1 on our social media channels and website. Don’t forget to follow us (@sorareadingapp) and subscribe to our blog for the latest updates!
What’s at stake? A pretty awesome prize pack (if we do say so ourselves), including:
- A classroom pizza party on us!
- A social media shout-out on our official Sora social media channels.
- Some super Sora t-shirts for our winners.
- A custom plaque for the winning class that features the new mascot name.
