April showers bring May…Sweet Reads! Our Sora Sweet Reads program is back for 2025 – and dare we say it’s better than ever?
This year, our collection is even bigger, giving your students more choices to kick the summer reading slide. The Sora Sweet Reads collection includes more than 100 always available ebooks and select audiobooks for students in grades K-12. The best part? They’re all available right now, until Aug. 25. With both fiction and non-fiction titles, there’s something for everyone in this year’s program!
There’s so much to love about Sora Sweet Reads. First, it’s easy for both you and your students. All of the titles come pre-sorted into Juvenile, Young Adult, and General Adult labels (which you can always adjust based on your school’s individual needs), and are already at the top of your Sora Explore page in their own themed curation so they’re simple for your students to find.
Second, your students can enjoy ebooks, audiobooks, and read-alongs as part of the program – so no matter how they prefer to read, there’s something for everyone. And, of course, we wouldn’t send you off without materials to promote your new collection!
Tell everyone about it
As you’re preparing for your Sora Sweet Reads program don’t forget to add in some time to promote the collection to your students, staff, and school community. Head over to the Sweet Reads website, where you’ll find downloadable graphics and print materials.
These will include graphics with title jackets for general audiences, along with juvenile-specific graphics for our younger readers. In the print files, you’ll find an editable PDF letter to parents along with a reading challenge PDF to keep your students engaged all summer long.

Book Creator Template
Last year we debuted our partnership with Book Creator – the simplest, most inclusive way to create content in the classroom – to bring you a fully customizable digital book journal template. We are thrilled to continue our partnership and offer you an updated template for 2025. Getting started is free and easy and the templates can be customized for any age group.
You can view the template and then download the instruction PDF to get started! Make sure to go over this with your students before they head off for summer vacation!
