Libby and Read with Jenna Team Up to Bring Book Club Favorites to Library Cardholders
Readers can now easily discover and borrow book club picks with Libby
Cleveland, OH – September 30, 2025 — Libby, the library reading app, today announced a new partnership with Read with Jenna, the popular book club founded by TODAY Show co-host Jenna Bush Hager. Beginning this September, readers will be able to easily read and listen to Jenna’s monthly book club picks for free with their library card through Libby.
Launched in 2019, Read with Jenna has become one of the most influential book clubs in the U.S., spotlighting fresh voices and celebrated authors across a wide range of genres. From buzzworthy debuts to page-turning thrillers, Jenna’s recommendations have introduced millions of readers to new stories and authors. Through this partnership, Libby and Read with Jenna are working together to expand access and inspire even more people to discover their next great read and support their local libraries.
“Libraries are the heartbeats of our communities,” said Bush Hager. “They offer connection, opportunity, and a safe space for everyone. And none of that happens without the heart of it all, librarians. That’s why I’m so excited for readers to find a curated list of our Read With Jenna book club picks right in the Libby app, ready to borrow from your local library, for free. Books have the incredible power to change hearts and minds and now, thanks to Libby, they’re just a tap away for readers everywhere.”
Jenna’s love of books runs deep. The daughter of a librarian and granddaughter of a lifelong champion of literacy, she has carried on her family’s legacy by spotlighting diverse voices and fostering a nationwide community of readers. Her Read with Jenna book club selections, along with the Read with Jenna Jr. list for younger readers, will now be prominently featured in the Libby app, offering readers the opportunity to borrow these titles digitally from their local library.
“Libraries are at the heart of every community, and Libby is designed to connect readers everywhere with the incredible collections their libraries provide,” said Jen Leitman, Chief Marketing Officer at OverDrive, the company behind Libby. “We are thrilled to team up with Jenna and her passionate community of readers to celebrate the joy of books and the vital role libraries play in making them accessible to all.”
The partnership launches during Library Card Sign-Up Month. This annual celebration champions the power of libraries to transform lives through free access to books, audiobooks, and countless other resources. Readers can join the movement by signing up for a library card, downloading the Libby app, and borrowing Jenna’s book club picks from their local library.
