By: Jill Grunenwald, Marketing & Communications Specialist
A couple weeks ago, we announced the latest Libraries Transform Book Pick title, Book of the Little Axe by Lauren Francis-Sharma. This program is a collaboration between OverDrive and the American Library Association (ALA) and is designed to connect readers at U.S. public libraries by allowing them to read the same book at the same time without waitlists or holds.
We are excited to announce the program is now live! Between now and Sept. 28, the selected title will be available to users in your community at the top of your OverDrive site. After finishing the book, readers are encouraged to join the conversation by using the hashtag #LTBookPick.
Book of the Little Axe by Lauren Francis-Sharma
Spanning decades, Book of the Little Axe is an incredible novel about Rosa, an 18th-century teenager in Trinidad who finds new life, freedom, and family in the American West. But when her son comes of age, his way forward is blocked by Rosa’s secret. She takes him on a journey to retrace her own roots and rediscover who she was and who she became.
Readers interested in learning more about Lauren and her book can watch this Libraries Transform Book Pick author interview.
