OverDrive, in collaboration with the American Library Association (ALA), brings you the Libraries Transform Book Pick! This program is designed to connect readers at U.S. public libraries and allow them to read the same book at the same time — no wait list or holds.

This time around, the Libraries Transform Book Pick is Book of the Little Axe by Lauren Francis-Sharma. Spanning decades, Book of the Little Axe is an incredible novel about Rosa, an 18th-century teenager in Trinidad who finds new life, freedom, and family in the American West. But when her son comes of age, his way forward is blocked by Rosa’s secret. She takes him on a journey to retrace her own roots and rediscover who she was and who she became.

The selected title, along with a promotional spotlight at the top of your page, will be added at no cost from Sept. 14 – 28. After finishing the book, readers are encouraged to join the conversation by using the hashtag #LTBookPick.
