Happy 2022! The Training Team is excited to announce a revamp of our popular Sora and Marketplace webinars. We’ve been hard at work making sure these sessions offer you the tools and resources you need to succeed to build your digital collection and leverage the Sora student reading app for classroom instruction.

Whether you’re new to Sora and Marketplace or looking to brush up on the basics, there’s a session for you! Each live webinar gives you the opportunity to ask questions of our K-12 experts and to walk away with confidence using Sora and Marketplace.

All registrants will receive a comprehensive resource packet to explore, and promote Sora on their own time and at their own pace, including a link to the session recording.

Sora Essentials

Ready to learn the basics of Sora so you can start exploring and help others get started, too? Our Sora Essentials session is intended for educators brand new to the Sora platform who want to learn to:

  • Log into Sora using your school credentials
  • Borrow an ebook and audiobook
  • Customize your reading and listening experiences
  • Explore the top 5 ways Sora serves students
  • Help your students and other staff get started with Sora

Sora Connections

Marketplace Essentials

Ready to learn the basics of Marketplace, the shopping and administrative portal? Our Marketplace Essentials session is intended for educators brand new to Marketplace who want to:

  • Learn the basics of digital content and how it differs from print
  • Explore how digital libraries work, including the difference between shared & Advantage collections
  • Sign in and navigate Marketplace
  • Discover how Sora and Marketplace connect to meet the needs of educators and students
  • Browse the digital catalog, build carts, and purchase titles in Marketplace

Marketplace Connections

We are also offering special topic Marketplace webinars throughout 2022.

Our first Marketplace Connections session will focus on content bundles, an exciting new feature available to K-12 schools that allows educators to reserve and bundle titles from the general collection to offer exclusive access for specific students or scenarios.

Courtney is a Product Trainer at OverDrive, where she provides training support to K-12 partners. She graduated from Bluffton University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining the Training Team, Courtney was a Corporate Trainer working in the insurance industry for about 5 years. She utilizes her knowledge and experience of both adult learning and development and Early Childhood Education to create and present engaging content to our partners. When Courtney is not at work, she enjoys traveling, reading romance and mystery novels, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
