In 1924, piano salesman Richard L. Simon and trade magazine editor M. Lincoln Schuster pooled their resources to publish a book of crossword puzzles. It was the first of its kind, and this revolutionary book was a runaway bestseller.

100 years later, Simon & Schuster continues to publish books that challenge the status quo and create excitement among readers of all ages. From Gatsby’s green light to the grand lobby of the Plaza Hotel and the little girl who lives there, every page in a Simon & Schuster title carries a piece of their history.

In honor of this momentous anniversary, Simon & Schuster is celebrating with two collections of iconic titles and authors that define their legacy as a literary powerhouse.
