Make your voice heard by voting for our SXSW panel!
Our public libraries are indispensable hubs for lifelong learning, community engagement, and so much more. As one of our most trusted local resources, libraries play a crucial role in empowering citizens, enhancing media literacy, and encouraging civic participation.
One of the key principles of libraries has always been the importance of ensuring equitable access to information and resources, which is we are asking YOU to vote for our SXSW panel, Guardians of Democracy: Libraries Ensure Information Access.
Your vote will support an insightful session exploring the vital connection between literacy, access, and democracy. Attendees will hear from those standing up to First Amendment threats and providing access to information for all, discover specific programs and initiatives in libraries that support this mission, and learn how community members can take action to also be “Guardians of Democracy”
