OverDrive’s School Stars promotion contest has returned for 2020! Now’s the time to share how you promote the Sora reading app in your school for a chance to win our grand prize: $2,500 USD in content credit to help grow your digital collection.

Take advantage of several chances to win content credit

This year, in addition to the grand prize, there are multiple chances to win. We’re looking for entries in the categories below:

  • Best in Social Media
  • Best in Student Participation – Teens
  • Best in Student Participation – Young Readers
  • Best Bulletin Board/Visual Display
  • Best in Classroom Use or Activity

Each category offers two chances to win content credit: Best in Category ($500 USD) and Category Runner-Up ($250 USD). Additionally, five entrants will receive $100 USD in content credit simply for entering!

Come one, come all – no promotion is too small!

There’s no promotion too small for this contest. Past entries have included videos, visual displays and bulletin boards, social media campaigns and student-created resources. We welcome entries from schools all over the globe and focus on creativity, execution and student response. At the end of the day, we want to see more students discovering a world of reading with Sora!

Not sure how to get started? Looking for inspiration? Check out this interview with last year’s grand prize winner, Sarah Sansbury, Media Specialist at River Trail Middle (GA). Sarah wowed us with her social media prowess, but in the interview, we learned she had never really used Instagram before promoting Sora!

Good luck and aim for the stars!
