GCP’s Baiju Shah and OverDrive’s Cortney Marchetti

At an award ceremony on Tues. Oct. 10 in Cleveland, Ohio, OverDrive was selected as a winner at the 17th Annual Best of Tech Awards, presented by the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP). The award was presented in the category Best Tech Talent Innovation, which recognizes innovative approaches to attracting, developing, and retaining top tech talent.

In his opening remarks, Baiju Shah, President and CEO of GCP, called attention to OverDrive as a success story and proof of what amazing things can come out of an area that’s not a traditional tech hub.

Cortney Marchetti, Director of Talent Management for OverDrive, accepted the award, saying, “We’re thrilled to accept this award on behalf of the 91,000 libraries and schools around the world who use our technology and apps to expand access to ebooks, audiobooks and videos to readers and movie-lovers of all ages. We have been part of the Cleveland technology community since 1986 – and we are so proud of our team for continually innovating, for always striving to improve, and for championing our mission and vision every day.”
