Key ways to improve the U.S. education system [Authority Magazine interview]
If you had the chance, what would you do to improve the U.S. education system?
It’s a complicated question, with equally complicated answers – but in a recent interview with Yitzi Weiner from Authority Magazine, OverDrive Education General Manager Angela Arnold distilled down some of the key areas she sees the most room for improvement.
From breaking down what we can do to address the recent NAEP results, to what K-12 educators should feel empowered to expect from vendors, check out her thoughts on the roadmap forward for K-12 instruction in 2023 – and beyond.
“One of the reasons schools choose OverDrive is because our product development is so closely tied with the experiences of customers and users. Touchpoints include standard tech support, as well as a white-glove team — typically comprised of an account manager, a digital-content librarian and several other education professionals — assigned to each school partner. Through these relationships, we’re able to hear and see what’s happening in the daily world of educators. It’s a particularly close connection, more so than what schools likely experience with their other vendors.”
